Are actors such as Maya Hawke, Zoë Kravitz or Charlie Sheen successful because their parents are famous? Are they "nepo babies"? "Nepo" is short for "nepotism", which describes the act of using influence to gain an unfair advantage for one's family members. Or does, say, New York-born Hawke actually have it harder because her parents are the actors Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman?
