These pirates are not found on the high seas dressed like characters from Pirates of the Caribbean. Instead, they can be found following delivery vans in suburban neighborhoods dressed in hoodies and jeans. When a parcel is left by the delivery man at a front door, a "porch pirate" will nip in and steal the package. Each year, hundreds of millions of parcels are stolen in the U.S. alone. Denver, San Francisco, and Salt Lake City are among the most affected.
